From "TBD" to Their Actual Name — Update Your Child's Info Anytime
A lot of parents join Wee Queue before their baby is even born, which means "TBD" ends up on a lot of waitlists. Now you can go back and update your child's name and birthdate anytime from your account settings.
If you’re expecting, you probably didn’t wait until your baby arrived to start looking for childcare — daycare waitlists in BC can be months or years long, so getting your name down early matters. A lot of parents join Wee Queue during pregnancy, which means a lot of waitlist entries out there are technically registered to a baby named “TBD.”
Until now, there was no way to go back and fix that yourself. Today we’re changing that.
Update Your Children Anytime
Head to Settings → Children, right below the Family section. You’ll see every child on your account, with an Edit link next to each one.
Click Edit and you can update:
- First name — swap “TBD” for the name you actually chose
- Last name
- Date of birth — handy if your due date estimate was off, or you registered before the birth and want to lock in the real date
Changes save instantly and carry through everywhere that child’s info shows up — including any waitlist entries already tied to them, so daycares always see the current name.
Adding a New Child
The same section also lets you add a child you haven’t registered yet — useful if you’re expanding your family and want to get a head start on a new waitlist entry without creating a whole new search from scratch. Click + Add a Child, fill in the same three fields, and you’re done.
Where to Find It
Go to Account Settings while logged in, and look for the Children section under Family. No new account, no separate flow — it’s just there.
